About BFA
Baltimore Freedom Academy is a 6-12 citywide public charter school. At some schools, kids get lost in the system. At the Baltimore Freedom Academy, the kids are the system. The BFA Community Code is: We Learn. We Lead. We Serve.
BFA was founded on the ideals that young people can make positive change in their world when given the chance to do so. Our students engage in educational activities that develop their problem-solving skills and build their self confidence as learners.
Our Mission
By providing a curriculum and culture centered around social justice and activism, Baltimore Freedom Academy prepares its students to immediately participate in positively transforming themselves and their communities.
Our Vision
Baltimore Freedom Academy graduates will enter adulthood as well-balanced men and women who are responsible members of their families and neighborhoods, productive members of decision-making bodies, and influential leaders in their communities.
